The TL-2B Herakles was developed primarily as a missile platform, and thus possesses the capacity to fire six Homing Missiles at once. Other than its large size, it's nearly identical to previous models. This larger craft is much more effective when supported by the R-9E series.

Trivia[]

  • Heracles is probably the most famous of the Greek heroes, known for his fearsome strength, temper, and labors.
  • There is a localization error in the TL-2B's description in R-Type Final. In the original Japanese text it says "Kill rate soars when it is linked with the R-9E series", not "the R-9 series".
