This short-lived vessel was a little too effective and was never flown in combat. Seeing a need for every resource they could get, the Space Corps created this experimental fighter to test the power of harnessing the power of a natural disaster. The resulting ship was never flown in combat, but battle tests of its Wave Cannon revealed it to be overpowered (but that didn't stop the Space Corps from ultimately developing the far-more-powerful Giga Wave Cannon). As such, the ship was retired before it ever saw battle.
