This Bydo unit is produced internally by a Duster. As such, it's commonly found in and outside underwater in the presence of the Duster. Battalions will walk along the ground until they find a good spot where they will (permanently) deploy an semi-organic cannon capable of firing acid bolts, not unlike the Bydo Fluid attack seen in R-Type Command and R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate.
Pilots should be aware that Force units cannot block these acidic shots and will pass through unscathed. Note that the shots do get blocked by the Force in the Japan version of the R-Type II arcade game.

They're only found in The Cave. They're replaced by the Osborne in Super R-Type.
