The B-5C Platinum Heart is a player craft introduced in R-Type Final. This fighter ship is similar to its sister-crafts, the B-5B Golden Selection and B-5D Diamond Wedding, possessing an armoured hull constructed from precious materials, and sharing most of its hull design with another craft, this one being the TP-2 POW Armor. While it did receive a combat loadout, it was never deployed, having been ordered as a memorial to the lives lost from Satellite City Evergreen's crash rather than a bydo-repellant.
Requirements
Pilots must unlock this ship by flying the B-5B Golden Selection for at least 15 minutes.

Late in the 22nd century, the satellite city Evergreen was attacked by the Bydo and crashed into the sea. Countless lives were lost. This fighter was developed in their memory. It is a shining example of humanity's determination to free itself from the Bydo menace. It has never been deployed in combat, but it stands ready to be deployed at any time.

- While the Platinum Heart comes after the B-5B Golden Selection, Platinum is actually before Gold on the Periodic Table, (being Element 78), real-world cost, (Platinum having been consistenly less expensive since 2015), and strength (Platinum is more easily-scratched, and deformed than 24 Karat Gold)
- The B-5C is the only craft in the "precious material" sub-series not entirely-composed of its namesake, having what appears to be a large, brilliant-cut gemstone as its "canopy".
