The B-5A Claw Claw is a player craft introduced in R-Type Final. While it carries the same design mission as its successsors, it shares the frightening, Bydo-like appearance as its predecessor, being constructed of what appears to be calcified Bydo structure akin to bone and/or body plating, and testing the Talon-like growths seen on some Bydo entities. Because of this, it does not resemble any other craft in terms of appearance as well.

Trivia[]
- While its appearance doesn't directly reference another craft in the Space Corps' arsenal, it can be argued as a homage to the R-9F (in which they both possessed manipulator arms of sorts) or the R-13 Series; both fighters have a trio of claws on their forces, can latch onto enemies for constant damage, and have a spiky design that incorporates red as a secondary colour.
